"As a sculptor, my interest is in encounters between controlled and spontaneous, between geometric and organic. Through the repetition and incremental gradation of a single element—regardless of size or material—I am able to create a sense of unfolding and expansion that appears to move with the movement of the viewer, offering a different view from every angle as the forms evolve. In a career that has spanned decades, cities, and countries, the union of art and mathematics continues to resonate with me, keeping me reaching for the next possibility."
