Creating or being in a creative state of mind is center to Barbara McGuire’s being. Somewhere in between her passion and calling, she finds a void that offers peace, grounding, and a place to re-discover life's potentials and priorities. For Barbara, creating is a presence of constant beginnings even with the most mundane of familiar experiences. Something as simple as a circle can be the most profound of choices when it comes to design balance. The beauty reflected in nature is paramount in providing endless discovery as she endeavors to share and celebrate the creativity in each of us.
Biography
Barbara McGuire is an award-winning artist and author whose career began in the craft supply and distribution industry. She has written over 10 educational art books and is well known for the complex millefiori faces featured in her work. After several years developing commercial products for creatives working in clay, she gravitated to the peace and serenity of the Appalachian Mountains. Honing skills in metal clay, wire, glass, and ceramic, Barbara expresses her passion in unique mixed media statement jewelry.
